A system and a wearable device that converts physiological signals into actionable haptic feedback
The integration of haptic feedback into cardiac catheter-based procedures will give Interventional Cardiologists and Cardiac Electrophysiologists better catheter control and faster reaction time enabling them to better manipulate catheters, guide sheaths and transseptal needles around critical cardiac structures and focus on critical aspects of the procedure. The goal is for these benefits to translate into more efficient procedures and better patient outcomes.
There aren’t any direct competitors and we are building a device agnostic platform that will enable our solution to work with a variety of partners and lab configurations. Currently we are partnering with SUNY Stonybrook and Tulane University Engineering Department on feasibility, prototyping and clinical activities and we are actively seeking additional partners in academia and industry.
